Typical Alzheimer's Course:
- Errors in routine tasks, forgetfulness
- Emotional instability/ Personality change
- Poor judgment and insight
- Visuospatial problems
- Loss of language / abstract skills
- Neglect of bathing/ dressing
- Delusions/ Paranoia
- Wandering
- Decreased po intake/ weight loss
- Disinhibition/ worse psychiatric symptoms
- Unsteady, short gait
- Severe functional impairment--> bed-bound
Indications for Head CT/MRI:
- Age < 70
- Fast Course (< 1 year progression)
- Gait problems or Neurologic signs
- Head Trauma
- New Incontinence
- Inability of Patient or Family to be Reassured
